About Million Memory Project
We make books from stories that deserve to last.
Million Memory Project is a storytelling and publishing organization. We publish books by authors and artists, and we help communities turn interviews, photographs, recordings, and archives into books.
What we create
Books for artists, communities, and places.
Artist stories
Sound Archive Books
Books for artists, labels, venues, and music communities.
Cultural preservation
Appalachian Memory Project
Books about places in Appalachia, drawn from oral history and local tradition.
Community stories
Million Memory Project
Books a community writes together, in the words of the people who lived it.
Every story deserves to be kept.
Some become books.
Some become archives.
Many become both.
